    Lemsford Local History Groups member Ron Forsdikes late wife was related to Frederick William Reynolds was born in Lemsford on 28/07/1891 . He attended Lemsford School from 22/04/1895 to 03/04/1905. The 1911 census shows he live in Great North Road, In 5 rooms |William – Father 54 - Farm Labourer | Rose – Mum 50 |Oliver – Brother 22 - Jobbing Gardener | Fredrick 19 - Jobbing Gardener. Joined Royal Staffs Regiment and was awarded the military medal

    Military Award – Private Frederick Reynolds has been awarded the Military Medal for gallant conduct the last time he went into action. It is understood that he has also been recommended for the Meritorious Service Medal. This is the third Military Medal won by Lemsford men, the two others recipients of the honour being Sidney Walby and Robert Sear. .
